About this program
The Master's program in Applied Geosciences deepens the applied aspects of geosciences, with a geoscientific focus on environmental research. Building on a suitable Bachelor's degree, the Master's program imparts knowledge, skills, and competencies, particularly in the areas of hydrogeology, environmental geochemistry, engineering geology, geothermal energy, soil chemistry, and atmospheric aerosols. This enables graduates to independently and responsibly address issues related to the future topics of water, energy, and the environment. Students choose one of two specializations at the beginning of the Master's program: 'Applied Geology' or 'Environmental Geosciences'. Each specialization consists of a specially adapted set of compulsory or compulsory elective modules.
