About this program
Creative Direction means not just designing creative ideas, but giving them direction. If you want to co-develop campaigns, brands, or projects and make creative decisions in the future, this is the next step. As a Creative Director, you develop ideas further, bring different people together, and ensure that everything fits together in the end. You keep an overview, give feedback, make creative decisions, and accompany projects from the initial idea to implementation. It's not just about good design. It's about developing concepts, understanding brands, and managing creative processes effectively. In the Creative Director course at Mediadesign Hochschule, you will learn exactly this – practical and alongside your career. You will learn how creative concepts are created, how good storytelling works, and how to confidently lead creative projects and teams through the entire process. The course is designed to be part-time and takes place online over two months. In eight practical modules, you will learn step-by-step how Creative Direction works in everyday work. The course takes place on a total of 8 evenings (2 months), once a week (Wednesdays) from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. You will deal with topics such as how creative briefings are analyzed and improved, how creative guiding ideas are developed, how storytelling and brand worlds are built, how visual consistency is achieved, how creative collaboration is managed, and how to give feedback and present creative ideas. During the course, you will also work on your own practical project. You will develop a small Creative Direction concept for a brand, campaign, or your own idea, including a visual direction, mood board, and pitch. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the state-recognized Mediadesign Hochschule.
