The Technische Physik program is designed for individuals who enjoy experimenting and applying their knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science practically. A unique aspect of this program in Coburg is the immediate application of learned theoretical knowledge in workshops. The focus is on integrating insights from physics, mathematics, and computer science to solve practical problems. The program aims to provide students with opportunities to try new things, succeed, and learn from failures. It prepares students to apply physics and technology to address the technical and societal challenges of the 21st century. Hackathons are regularly held to foster cooperation and competition among students. The program offers an in-depth look behind the scenes, emphasizing scientific working methods, mathematical-physical understanding, and the 'why' behind concepts. Students will encounter highly innovative fields such as touch sensors, alternative fuels, and laser applications. The curriculum combines engineering content from physics, chemistry, mathematics, electrical engineering, materials science, and measurement and control technology.
