The postgraduate training in Systemic Therapy at PHB qualifies graduates with a Diploma or Master's degree in Psychology for the state examination to become a licensed psychotherapist. The program focuses on systemic therapy, which emphasizes the social context of psychological disorders and involves important persons of the patient in the therapy. It replaces linear cause-and-effect explanations with circular ones and considers the various environments of a system. The therapy is resource- and solution-oriented, complementing the perspective of pathogenesis with salutogenesis. The training is divided into theoretical, practical, and self-experience components, accompanied by continuous process reflection to connect these parts and utilize feedback.
