The Master's program "Sport Psychology" is a continuing education program for all interested parties who want to start a career in sport psychology. It aims to provide in-depth knowledge in research methods, diagnostics, and general psychology or sport and training sciences, depending on the initial degree. The program also focuses on building coaching and social skills. This distance learning program is ideal for those who have completed a degree in sport science or psychology and wish to pursue a Master's degree. It combines fundamental analytical, research methodological, and psychological or sport science skills with modules for building and deepening sport psychological competencies (Diagnostic Practice, Team Development, Intervention Methods, Sport Psychological Coaching, Emotion and Motivation Regulation in Sport, Complexity of Performance Development) as well as application-oriented content in practical phases. The program is designed to meet the demands of modern sport psychologists. It combines sport and psychology, benefiting from the cooperation between IST-Hochschule Düsseldorf (sport science and sport psychology expertise) and Hochschule Döpfer (general psychology expertise). Graduates receive the academic degree "Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Sport Psychology", awarded by Hochschule Döpfer. Potential career fields include: Sport Psychologist in Elite Sports, Sport Coaching and Trainer Development, Consulting in Grassroots Sports, Sport Management and Marketing, Performance Enhancement in Business, Academic Research and Teaching, and Self-Employment with own practice.
