You will learn to develop innovative solutions for digital media environments and to integrate the latest technologies and methods of interaction and usability into your module projects. A further practice focus is placed on web programming, sensor/actuator technology, audiovisual media and their design and programming. The Master's degree program combines expertise from two departments at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and unites practical application with robust theory: The Department of Computer Science and Languages teaches you how to work with interactive media systems and how to expertly handle large amounts of data, while the Department of Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering provides you with in-depth knowledge of AR/VR worlds. Theory and practice are always closely coordinated fostering the development of valuable synergies. Elective module courses in this program, allow you to explore areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, game development, user experience design and interactive installations. With a focus on practice-oriented learning and project work, this Master's degree program is ideal for a successful career in the dynamic, constantly growing and changing media industry. In addition to practical training, the program puts particular emphasis on independent work, a systematic approach and the development of communication skills. The course is scientifically oriented and application-oriented. Graduates of the Master’s program in Media Engineering are qualified for a career in the media industry, for management positions in the digital media sector and for pursuing a doctorate.
