The "Industriewirtschaft" (Industrial Economics) program aims to bridge the gap between business administration and technical departments, preparing graduates to act as key liaisons in companies. The curriculum combines classical business administration education with theoretical and practical elements from technology, natural sciences, and information processing. The first four semesters provide a comprehensive overview of business administration and foundational knowledge in mathematics, natural sciences, and technical subjects. In the latter part of the bachelor's program (6th and 7th semesters), students can specialize in both a business administration and a technical area. The program emphasizes a high degree of practical relevance through a practical study semester, application-oriented projects, and final theses. Students benefit from small group sizes, especially in the later semesters, allowing for targeted support and challenges in interdisciplinary projects. The university offers laboratories for virtual teamwork, eye-tracking, and production/simulation techniques, where students can explore their ideas. Guest lecturers from industry contribute by discussing current business challenges. Students have the opportunity to spend a study or internship semester abroad.
