The program imparts scientific methods and sound knowledge in essential business functional areas and in cross-sectional and management functions. The focus is on expertise and application skills in strategy development, entrepreneurial steering, and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, personal key qualifications as well as knowledge and skills in the area of leadership are imparted in order to be able to implement these in the management of a company in conjunction with professional competencies. Through the independent creation of study papers, concepts, and problem solutions and their subsequent presentation to the interdisciplinary overall group, participants gain assertiveness strategies and leadership competencies that are expected of a manager in a dynamic corporate environment today. The program is aimed at all junior and senior managers, for example: Engineers and industrial engineers, computer scientists and business information technologists, natural scientists (e.g., biologists, chemists, pharmacologists, and physicists), lawyers, educators and social educators, social scientists and administrative scientists, humanities scholars, business economists. Graduates of the program are qualified to take on management positions, depending on their competencies acquired in their first degree. The goals of the program are: imparting business, economic, and legal know-how, imparting key competencies in the areas of personnel management and entrepreneurship, preparing for strategic management tasks, preparing for activities in an international environment.
