Über diesen Studiengang

The B.Mus. Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy program aims to prepare students for a broad field of activity in musical education and music communication through individual and systematic support, by providing them with both high-level artistic training and first-class pedagogical qualifications. The program is aimed at national and international target groups. Graduates will be equipped to independently (theoretically-reflectively and artistically-practically) engage with musical works from various stylistic periods, from historical performance practice to contemporary music. They will be able to enrich the cultural and social life in their environment and responsibly set impulses through their artistic and music-pedagogical work. They will be competent in dealing with people in all their diversity (in individual and group lessons) and identify with both measures of broad musical education and elite promotion. They will be proficient in several musical-stylistic areas and be able to flexibly apply their artistic-pedagogical skills. They will possess advanced musical-practical skills, especially in ensemble playing, as well as extensive skills in subject didactics and teaching practice, and possibly in other selected areas of music pedagogy, depending on their individual specialization. They will know the requirements of their future professional field, possess knowledge in the areas of media, digitality, and music communication, as well as techniques for the long-term preservation of their professional health. Their communicative and cooperative skills will enable them to sustainably and reflectively shape society.
